Is Noble fit then?

I don't care, it's the team id pick. let me borrow your crystal ball, I may then have the answers

Re: WHU team Vs Man City?
Manager does not think Noble will be and I don't think I would start him if he was.

Barring the signing of a monster DM, play Wilshere, looked as good as anyone and we are probably not going to contain them.

I say give it go with Eddie's

paulon 5:44 Sun Aug 4

same as Eddie B's

think that will be the team but Cresswell will probably play

Re: WHU team Vs Man City?
11 defenders for this one!

Re: WHU team Vs Man City?
I'd start with Wilshere, finish with Noble.

Both of them are not ready for full games.

Re: WHU team Vs Man City?
same as eddie b's team. Cant see how he can leave Wilshire out at the moment, from what I've seen he's been the one pulling the strings in midfield,

You're a genius B, completely and utterly wasted on here. Shame.

Fabianski

Fredericks
Balbuena
Diop
Masuaku

Snodgrass
Rice
Wilshere

Lanzini
Haller
Fornals

Subs:
Roberto, Johnson, Sanchez, Anderson, Antonio, Yarmalenko, Chicharito

Which is a little harsh on Cresswell, Noble and Zabaleta, but Johnson covers both flanks, Sanchez covers Rice and can cover CB in a pinch if Rice couldn't drop in at CB, and we're more likely to be chasing the game so having attacking options is important.

With almost everyone fit gonna be some good senior pros missing out these first few weeks.

Fabianski if fit

Fredericks
Balbuena
Diop
Cresswell

Rice
Wilshere
Lanzini

Anderson
Haller
Fornals

However, it's a fucking stinker of a game to have to open with. I can't say I overly like our chances in this particular one, but I think we will be capable of playing some great football this season against most sides.

Agree with Eddie B - that team picks itself. I would be very surprised if it was anything else. Hopefully Yarmo and Antonio get some minutes from the bench.

Eddie B's team is our best chance

Re: WHU team Vs Man City?
A midfield of Fornals, Lanzini, Wilshere and Anderson looks like a collection of lightweight luxury players. Exciting as this will be in some games against City I gear a cricket score spanking. Would Pel Boy start with this lineup? I'm not sure.

Fabianski

Fred.- Diop - Balbs - Masuaku

---+Rice----Noble

Fornals - Wilshere - Anderson

Haller

I think is more likely.

Re: WHU team Vs Man City?
Or is Noble injured? If so it's Sanchez!

ironsofcanada 9:59 Sun Aug 4
Re: WHU team Vs Man City?
And if Noble is not available, as the manager believes is actually very likely?

I have clearly stated this fucko.

Re: WHU team Vs Man City?
I was posting that before you had to correct yourself, but...

Nothing that Sanchez has shown me makes think he can shut down the Man City midfield any more effectively than Wilshere or Fornals and they certainly keep the ball better.

Re: WHU team Vs Man City?
I'd swap Anderson for Antonio. He's looked weak and ineffective whilst Antonio looks strong and effective.
But we'll still get stuffed.

Re: WHU team Vs Man City?
I believe our starting 11 will look like the one against bilbao with fabianski replacing roberto because our only chance to draw/win against city is to score as many goals as we can. I'd rather see us playing attacking football and losing 5 2 then park the bus and lose 1 0.
